Padmavati trailer out: While Deepika & Shahid impress, Ranveer Singh steals the show
The wait is finally over. After months of buzz and speculations, the day has finally arrived. The trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhsanli’s Padmtisava tarring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh is out. And like every SLB film this one is a visually treat too. After giving us two back-to-back hits with Deepika-Ranveer like Bajirao Mastani and Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela, Bhansali teams up with this hit jodi yet again and ropes in Shahid for a prominent role. We bet that after watching this trailer you will never look at Ranveer the same way that you’d seen him before. Deepika looks regal, Shahid Kapoor looks like a true Rajput king, but it is Ranveer’s act as Alauddin Khilji act that will stay with you the longest. With just one dialogue from his film’s protagonist, Sanjay Leela Bhansali tells us what the film is all about. Here take a look…
Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor’s pairing is a treat to the eyes. The two good looking stars make for an awesome on screen couple. Their chemistry will remind you of Ranveer and Deepika in their earlier films. Ranveer however is the real star of Bhansali’s this magnum opus. His mean act will be a new high in the history of Indian films. Ranveer steps into a baddie’s character for the first time and just a glimpse at the role in this trailer is enough to make you imagine the menace that the actor will be in the film.
Well this might be a dampener for some, but we have no face off between Shahid and Ranveer or then Ranveer and Deepika in the trailer. One cannot deny that we see a hangover of Bhansali’s past work in this trailer too.
Padmavati has been in news for quite some time now ever since its announcement. Based on the life of the Queen of Chittor, Padmavati, Deepika Padukone will play the titular role. Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh, is the newest edition to Bhansali’s team. Bhansali has managed to portray the delicate relationship of Ratan Singh and Padmavati and portray the stark contrast of the tyrant Alauddin Khilji in this trailer so beautifully that we bet you’d be eager for the film’s release on December 1.
